Welcome to the eternal Egypt. You will arrive Borg El Arab Airport in Alexandria, after clearing immigration and collecting your baggage meet our representative who will take you to Cairo.

Cairo is around two and half hour drive from Alexandria. You will reach Cairo, check in to your hotel then rest. Around 09:00hrs in the morning you will meet your guide and commence Cairo city tour.

Highlights of the day:

The Pyramids of Giza: All three of Giza's famed pyramids and their elaborate burial complexes were built during a frenetic period of construction, from roughly 2550 to 2490 B.C. The pyramids were built by Pharaohs Khufu (tallest), Khafre (background), and Menkaure (front). The Giza Pyramids, built to endure an eternity, have done just that. The statue was carved from a single piece of limestone, and pigment residue suggests that the entire Great Sphinx was painted.

 

The Papyrus: It was greatly used in the ancient times as writing material. The paper used during those time for writing was from the reed of Papyrus. You will get to know how these paper are manufactured and used.  You can even buy the Egyptian paintings made in those paper here.

CITADEL OF FORT QAITBEY

This citadel is the further most edifices on the harbors arm. The fort is on the original site of the Pharos, Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse, built in 279 BC to a height of 12 meters and topped with the statue of Poseidon. Although Pharos was restored at various times it had finally crumbled by the time the original fort was built here, in the 1480’s. This magnificent structure houses Fort Qait Beys naval museum.
